Prosecutor Mirko Lečić (1948-2021)

 

The long-term retired Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mirko Lečić, passed away on 22 August 2021.
Prosecutor Lečić died at the age of 74 and was buried in his hometown of Visoko.
During his working life, Mirko Lečić held significant positions in governmental institutions in Visoko, where he also held the position of President of the Municipal Assembly of Visoko in 1986.
He was actively involved in sports and was a member of sports associations, and is also credited for the development of sports in Visoko.
He served as a prosecutor in the prosecutor’s offices in Kakanj and Sarajevo, and ended his working life as a prosecutor in the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Prosecutor Lečić worked in the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina from 2007 until his retirement at the end of 2015.
During the entire period of his work in the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, Prosecutor Lečić worked in the Special Department for War Crimes.
With great sadness, the staff of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina is saying goodbye to its long-time colleague.

Jadranka Lokmić-Misirača (1955 -2021)

 

Prosecutor Jadranka Lokmić-Misirača passed away in Sarajevo at the age of 66, after a long illness.
Jadranka Lokmić-Misirača graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Sarajevo, in 1980.
Prosecutor Lokmić-Misirača has been employed with the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina since the end of 2003, almost since the institution’s establishment, and during her work and engagement in the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, she performed the duties of a Prosecutor and the Head of the Department III, as well as of a Deputy Chief Prosecutor and Acting Chief Prosecutor, and she was also a member and Vice-President of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (HJPC) of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
She was a member of several working and professional bodies in the field of judicial reform and strengthening the rule of law.
With great sadness, the staff of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina is saying goodbye to its long-time colleague.

Milorad Barašin (1961-2018)

 

Milorad Barašin passed away on 26 July 2018 at the age of 58. He was burried in his hometown Srbac on 30 July 2018. A large number of citizens, representatives of judicial, sports and public life attended the funeral.
Prosecutor Barašin spent eleven (11) years working in the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the positions of a Prosecutor, Deputy Chief Prosecutor, Head of the Special Department for War Crimes, Acting Chief Prosecutor, and Chief Prosecutor, and his colleagues will primarily remember him as a good person and a great professional.
He was committed to his scientific work and the development of judicial practice, especially in the field of the prosecution of war crimes cases and the cases of serious violations of international humanitarian law.
Prosecutor Barašin was also a prominent sports activist and a passionate fan of sport, especially football.
With great sadness, the staff of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina is saying goodbye to its long-time colleague.

Prosecutor Ahmet Halebić  (1950-2013)

 

Ahmet Halebić was born in 1950.

Prosecutor Ahmet Halebić worked in the Prosecutor’s Office from almost its very foundation.  In November 2003, by HJPC decision, he was appointed Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and was one of the first prosecutors in this institution.

With his knowledge, experience and professional attitude towards colleagues, Prosecutor Halebić left a deep mark in the history of the Prosecutor’s Office.

With his goodness and kindness, Prosecutor Halebić remained in good memory of all employees of the Prosecutor’s Office.

As an experienced professional and a top lawyer, Prosecutor Halebić is known as the first prosecutor on the case in the Prosecutor’s Office to prosecute a terrorism case, the one who successfully completed the case concerning the prosecution of illegal acts in the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina and who also worked on a number of other cases.

Prosecutor Halebić worked in the Prosecutor’s Office until 2012 when he retired due to health problems.

Ahmet Halebić died on December 24, 2013 at the age of 63.

The staff of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina will always remember Prosecutor Halebić with pride.

Anita Čalaga (1974 - 2014)

Anita Čalaga was born on May 5, 1974.

She worked in the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina from almost the very foundation of the institution, namely from 2004, as an officer - Specialist Registrar in the Registry of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

She worked on registering war crimes cases for a long time and had considerable experience and expertise in maintaining registers and records as a very important segment of the administrative work of the Prosecutor’s Office.

As an exceptionally systematic and responsible person dedicated to her work, she has remained in good memory of all colleagues.

Anita Čalaga died on April 11, 2014 at the age of 40.

With her departure, the staff of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina lost a valuable colleague and a dear friend. The staff of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina will remember her with proud.

Mato Krišto (1958 - 2011)

 

Mato Krišto was born on April 10, 1958.

He worked in the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina from 2004 as a treasury operations officer.

As an employee in the Department for Material and Financial Affairs, who was exceptionally dedicated and devoted to his work, as well as precise and systematic, Mato Krišto has remained in good memory of all employees.

Given the nature of hise job, he was in everyday contact with all employees and was a dear friend and interlocutor.

Mato Krišto tragically died on March 13, 2011 in a car accident at the age of 53.

With his departure, the staff of the Prosecutor’s Office lost a dear friend and colleague and will always remember him with pride.
