The principle of the presumption of innocence:
The confirmation of an indictment against a certain
individual does not mean that the individual is actually responsible for
the commission of the criminal offence. According to the principle of
presumption of innocence, everyone is to be considered innocent of the
criminal offence until their guilt is established by a final and binding
judgment.
