The central topics were the work and activities of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH in the process of strengthening the rule of law and cooperation with U.S. partner institutions in these activities.
As part of the investigation into the Dženan Memić’s death being conducted by the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency of BiH, Federation Police Administration and Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Interior, acting on the order of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH and on orders of the Court of BiH, are carrying out searches at several locations in the territory of Sarajevo, Zenica and Banja Luka, for the purpose of collecting evidence.
The accused are charged with organising and carrying out the smuggling of a large group of migrants by boat across the water border on the river Drina, near Zvornik.
In the warehouses of one company, a large quantity of air bombs was found, the purchase, possession and traffic of which is in no way allowed to citizens.
Two people, citizens of Pakistan, are charged with organised smuggling of a large group of illegal migrants of Afro-Asian origin across the river border on the Drina River.
The found remains will be forwarded to the Tuzla Commemorative Center for further forensic processing and identification through DNA analysis.
At a conference attended by judicial officials from several countries, the Chief Prosecutor presented the work and activities of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina in international operations and in the fight against transnational crime.
An exhumation was completed at the Potočari site in Srebrenica municipality, during which the complete remains of one person were found.
By order of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and in cooperation with police officers of the Republika Srpska Ministry of the Interior, Tuzla Canton Ministry of the Interior, Zenica-Doboj Ministry of the Interior and Sarajevo Canton Ministry of the Interior, police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) conducted searches at eleven (11) locations in Tuzla, Lukavac, Pelagićevo, Šamac, Zavidovići and Prnjavor, as well as on the territory of the municipality of Ilidža, and they arrested five (5 ) suspects.
The accused Nisvet Muharemović (1992) is charged with participating in the smuggling of migrants from the territory of Iraq, who were staying in Bosnia and Herzegovina illegally, in order to acquire unlawful material gain.
