Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, Milanko Kajganić, as well as Prosecutors and professional staff of the Mutual Legal Assistance and Other Criminal Offences Section participated at the conference Criminalizing Genocide Denial: Law, Accountability and Prevention organized by the International Nuremberg Principles Academy in cooperation with the Office of the High Representative to BiH.

Chief Prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor’s Office Milanko Kajganić, member of the HJPC from the BiH Prosecutor’s Office Bojana Jolović and the Prosecutor from the Organized Crime Department Sanita Imamović participated, as presenters and panelists, at the final conference of the HJPC BiH project - "Strengthening Capacities of the Prosecutors in the Criminal Justice System", which has been implemented over the past 15 years with the support of the Swiss Confederation.

On September 16, a meeting was held at the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina between Chief Prosecutor Milanko Kajganić, Deputy Chief Prosecutor Ivan Matešić, and representatives of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), including HSI Section Chief Mathew Gifford, HSI Historian Bill Tomljanovich from the Human Rights Violators and War Crimes Center (HRVWCC), which is run by HSI, and HSI Regional Attaché Chad Lindsly from Vienna, Austria. This meeting in person was facilitated by the U.S. Embassy Mission in Sarajevo.

A
meeting was held at the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH between the Chief Prosecutor
of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, Mr Milanko Kajganić, and the newly appointed
Head of the OSCE Mission to BiH, H.E. Rick Holtzapple.

With
the support of the European Union through the EU4JUSTICE project, a four-day
specialist training led by an international expert and representatives of the EU4JUSTICE
project was successfully concluded in the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH. The
training was focused on modern methods of investigating, detecting and seizing
assets in the online space, including cryptocurrencies and other forms of
illicit financial gain.

At the international conference of
prosecutors from all over the world, organised by the International
Organization of Prosecutors (IAP), which is being held in Singapore, the Chief
Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milanko
Kajganić, presented as a panelist the experiences of the Prosecutor’s Office of
Bosnia and Herzegovina and delivered a presentation on activities in the fight
against human trafficking and illegal migration.
