CHIEF PROSECUTOR MET WITH EU4JUSTICE PROJECT OFFICIALS

Chief Prosecutor of the
Prosecutor’s Office of BiH Milanko Kajganić met with EU4JUSTICE project
officials Jorge Obach Martinez, a judge from Spain, and Mika Aalto, a
prosecutor from Finland, on their farewell visit. Mr. Aalto was an
international expert in charge of implementing activities related to
strengthening the capacities of the Corruption Section of the Prosecutor’s
Office of BiH within the project.
The parties discussed the implementation of project activities aimed at strengthening prosecutorial capacities. The Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, prosecutors and professional staff were involved and participated in several project activities with colleagues from the EU, where experiences were exchanged from various segments in the fight against organized crime, corruption, financial crime, high-tech crime and other criminal offenses.
Cooperation and implementation of activities to strengthen prosecutorial capacities, as well as the capacities of partner institutions and law enforcement agencies, are of great importance on the European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina and such activities will continue in the coming period.
