CHIEF PROSECUTOR MEETS WITH NEWLY APPOINTED HEAD OF OSCE MISSION TO BIH

The Chief Prosecutor welcomed Ambassador Holtzapple, who was appointed Head of the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina last month, and expressed his confidence that the successful cooperation between the two institutions would continue in the coming period.
The meeting discussed current topics regarding joint cooperation and activities aimed at strengthening the rule of law.
The Prosecutor’s Office of BiH and the OSCE Mission to our country have had a long and successful cooperation for more than 20 years, especially in the field of capacity building for war crimes cases, but also in other areas within the competence of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH and the scope of work of the OSCE Mission, with the aim of strengthening the rule of law and security in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
