The Prosecutor’s Office of BiH issued an indictment against Noorullah Habibi, aka "Nurla"*, born in 1995 in Afghanistan, citizen of Afghanistan, currently in custody, Habibullah Ahmadi, aka "Habib"*, born in 1996 in Afghanistan, citizen of Afghanistan, currently in custody, Sanel Handanović aka "Raketa"*, born in 1995 in Bihać, citizen of BiH, and Edvin Ramić, aka "Edi"*, born in 2002 in Bihać, citizen of BiH. They are charged with having organized the smuggling of illegal migrants from BiH to the territory of the Republic of Croatia in 2024, thereby committing the criminal offense of Organizing a Group or Association for the Purpose of Perpetrating the Criminal Offence of Smuggling of Persons under Article 189a of the Criminal Code of BiH.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
