Overview of important activities for the week of 23 June to 27 June 2025.   

 

CUSTODY MOTION AGAINST PERSON SUSPECTED OF ORGANISED CRIME AND DRUG TRAFFICKING

The Court of BiH ordered custody for suspect Sani Mostarlić*, born in 1989 in Tuzla, citizen of BiH, based on a motion of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH. The custody was ordered for the reasons described in Article 132 (1), (a) and (b) of the Criminal Procedure Code of BiH, because there is a grounded suspicion that the suspect committed the criminal offence of organised crime under Article 250, in conjunction with the criminal offence of illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs under Article 195 of the Criminal Code of BiH.

 

 

CUSTODY MOTION AGAINST YONG ZHANG* (1983) SUSPECTED OF INTERNATIONAL ENTICING PERSONS TO PROSTITUTION

The Prosecutor’s Office of BiH submitted to the Court of BiH a motion to order the suspect Yong Zhang, born in 1983 in Liaoning, China, citizen of the People’s Republic of China, into custody for the reasons described in Article 132 (1) (a) of the Criminal Procedure Code of BiH. The suspect is under investigation and is accused of having committed the criminal offence of international enticing persons to prostitution under Article 187 (1) of the Criminal Code of BiH.

 

 

MOTION TO ORDER PROHIBITING MEASURES AGAINST PERSON SUSPECTED OF INTERNATIONAL TRAFFICKING IN PERSONS AND OTHER CRIMINAL OFFENCES

The Prosecutor’s Office of BiH submitted to the Court of BiH a motion that prohibiting measures be ordered against for the suspect Sakib Mujkić*, born in 1983 in Bihać, citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Prosecutor’s Office of BiH moved that the measures of prohibiting him from leaving BiH and travel ban be ordered against the suspect, as well as the seizure of travel documents under Article 126 (1) and (2) of the Criminal Procedure Code of BiH and the measure of prohibiting him to have meetings with certain individuals under Article 126a (1) (c) of the Criminal Procedure Code of BiH, because of the grounded suspicion that he committed the criminal offences of organised international trafficking in persons under Article 186a (1) and (2), international trafficking in persons under Article 186 (1) and (2), and money laundering under Article 209 (1) and (2) of the Criminal Code of BiH.

 

 

INDICTMENT FILED AGAINST ASOT CAZAREAN* AND TWO OTHER PERSONS FOR THE CRIMINAL OFFENCE OF SMUGGLING OF PERSONS

The Prosecutor’s Office of BiH filed an indictment against Asot Cazarean*, born in 1972 in Chisinau, Moldova, citizen of Moldova, Al Zebari Hoger Mohamed*, born in 1990 in Dhok, Iraq, citizen of Belgium and Iraq, and Giondis Christos*, born in 1961 in Thessaloniki, Greece, citizen of Greece, because of the existence of a grounded suspicion that they committed the criminal offence of smuggling of persons under Article 189 (1) of the Criminal Code of BiH, all in conjunction with Articles 26 and 29 of the same Code. The accused have been ordered into custody.
