30.11.2023. 07:55
Officers of the Judicial Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina have taken over the suspect Jovan Jošilo, born in 1983 in Sarajevo, a resident of Banja Luka and a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina, from their fellow officers from the Republic of Croatia. The suspect has been brought to the Complex of Judicial Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

  • SUSPECT IN SKY CASE EXTRADITED TO BIH JUDICIARY

The aforementioned suspect is subject to investigation in Sky cases codenamed ‘Tansporter’ and ‘Storage’, and he is charged with organized crime related to the illicit international trafficking in large quantities of narcotic drugs. The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and its partner police, judicial and security agencies had been looking for him for a long time, because he had been on the run.

Last year, the suspect was deprived of liberty in the area of Istria, in the Republic of Croatia, where he used forged personal documents. Subsequently, activities were initiated within the framework of international cooperation, with the aim of the suspect’s extradition to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

After the officers of the Judicial Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina had taken over the suspect from their fellow officers from Croatia around 1 pm, the suspect was then brought under high security measures to the Complex of Judicial Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where a custody measure is still in effect, as it was ordered following the issuance of an arrest warrant by the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The suspect will be handed over to the Prosecutor in charge of this case within the legally prescribed time limit, and the Prosecutor will thereafter take further necessary steps in prosecuting the suspect.
