BY ORDER OF THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BIH AND DPPO PRIJEDOR, FIVE PERSONS HAVE BEEN DEPRIVED OF LIBERTY DUE TO ELECTION ILLEGALITIES IN THE BOSANSKI NOVI / NOVI GRAD ELECTION UNIT

 The Acting Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milanko Kajganić, in coordination with the Chief Prosecutor of the DPPO Prijedor, Mladen Mitrović, gave an order to the Ministry of Interior of the RS for the deprivation of liberty of 5 suspects, who were identified as being connected to illegalities related to the election procedure i.e. the passing of a large number of filled-in ballots to the polling station.

 Given that among the ballots there were also ballots for elections at the level of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as entities, the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and OJT Prijedor acted in a coordinated manner.

In joint activities, it was agreed that persons deprived of their liberty would be handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina within the legal term. In coordination with the Central Election Commission, the necessary activities will be agreed in order to implement a legal election process at the said polling station.
