The Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, Gordana Tadić, and her associates met with the Chief Prosecutor of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor’s Office, Sabina Sarajlija, and her Deputy.

The meeting parties discussed the events of the past few days, related to ventilators and treatment of Covid 19 patients at Sarajevo University Clinical Center (SUCC), as well as further activities of prosecutorial and judicial institutions.

Considering that the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH has previously acted in the case, which was opened before the indictment in the Novalić et al. Case, and which refers to assistance to the perpetrator after the commission of a criminal offense by several persons, the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH has worked and will continue to work on this case.

The Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor’s Office has, pursuant to media reports and in accordance with its jurisdiction, formed a case related to a letter from doctors of the SUCC, about the usability of ventilators in the treatment of patients in SUCC, severe consequences to health and life of patients, and other problems in the functioning of the so-called Covid department, in which it will act in the coming period.

It was agreed at the meeting that the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH and the SC Prosecutor’s Office shall, within the scope of the above-mentioned cases, act urgently in coordinated activities and exchange collected information and evidence in order to determine all facts and circumstances under which ACM 812A ventilators were put into operation and used to treat patients with Covid 19.
