EXHUMATION CARRIED OUT AT THE LOCATION OF ZLATIŠTE IN SARAJEVO
23.08.2013. 15:41An exhumation was carried out at the location of Zlatište in East Sarajevo under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH. The remains of one person were unearthed at this location.
The recovered remains shall be transported to PUC „Gradska groblja” /Town cemetery/ Visoko for forensic processing i.e. collection of bone samples for DNA analysis aiming to determine the identity of the victim.
The exhumation process was coordinated by an investigator of the Special Department for War Crimes within the Prosecutor's Office of BiH and attended by representatives of the BiH Institute for Missing Persons, forensic pathologist as well as representatives of the RS MoI.
The Prosecutor's Office of BiH, along with other institutions involved in the process of tracing and identifying the missing, continues its activities on exhumations and in the process of tracing the remains of the missing in all parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
