THE ACCUSED DAVOR JURKOVIĆ CONCLUDED A PLEA AGREEMENT FOR ILLICIT TRAFFICKING IN NARCOTIC DRUGS. IMPRISONMENT SENTENCE IN DURATION OF FIVE YEARS AND SIX MONTHS PROPOSED

The accused Davor JURKOVIĆ concluded an Agreement on Admission of Guilt for the committed criminal offense of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs under Article 195, Paragraph  2, in conjunction with Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The accused Davor JURKOVIĆ aka “Ganfa”, born on May 2, 1983 in Stolac where he resides, citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia entered into plea agreement with the Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crimes and Corruption within the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH

By virtue of signing the agreement the accused Jurković fully admitted committing the criminal offense he was charged with by the indictment of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH issued on December 3, 2012 that was confirmed in its entirety by the Preliminary Hearing Judge of the Court of BiH on December 10, 2012.

Prosecutor and the Defense agreed that pursuant to the agreement the accused rendered an imprisonment sentence of 5 (five) years and 6 (six) months by the Court of BiH, as well as that the time spent in custody be counted as time served.

The proposed sentence is in line with the role of the accused in commission of the criminal offense.

The accused JURKOVIĆ is charged to have organized a group of people for the purpose of illicit international purchase and sale, transfer and transport of narcotic drug – Skunk from the Republic of Montenegro to Bosnia and Herzegovina and further to the Republic of Croatia. By virtue of signing this plea agreement the accused has pledged to testify before the Court of BiH when summoned.

With this agreement the accused person confirms that he is aware of the content of the indictment issued by the BiH Prosecutor's Office. He also confirms that the plea statement was given voluntarily, knowingly, with full understanding of the consequences thereof and undertakes to reimburse the costs of the criminal proceedings in the amount that may eventually be determined by the Court of BiH.

Pursuant to this agreement the accused has waived his right to a trial and appeal to the criminal sanction that shall be rendered to him by the Court of BiH.

The agreement was submitted to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
