INDICTMENT ISSUED FOR UNAUTHORISED TRAFFICKING OF DRUGS
02.04.2020. 12:24The defendant Željko Vučeraković (1962) is charged with the international smuggling of narcotic drugs - cocaine from Montenegro into Bosnia and Herzegovina.
A prosecutor of the Special Department for Organised Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption has filed an indictment against:
- Željko Vučeraković, born in 1962 in Krnjice, Bar, Montenegro, citizen of Montenegro who is in custody.
The accused is charged that on 31 January 2020, in the territory of Montenegro, he, with a view to acquiring unlawful property gain, procured a strong narcotic drug cocaine in the amount of about 250 grams, which is on the List of Narcotic Drugs and declared a narcotic drug by conventions and decisions.
The Indictment alleges that the defendant packed and smuggled the said amount of narcotic drug into the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, but that police officers stopped and searched him in the border zone between Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina, found and seized the narcotic drug and deprived him of liberty.
The defendant is charged with having committed unlawful international transfer of the substance that has been declared a narcotic drug by legislation and that he thus committed the criminal offence of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs in violation of Article 195 of the Criminal Code of BiH.
The Indictment was sent for confirmation to the Court of BiH, which confirmed it.
