CUSTODY PROPOSED AGAINST THREE PERSONS AND PROHIBITING MEASURES AGIANST FOURTEEN PERSONS IN CASE CODENAMED ‘PYRAMID’

29.04.2024. 13:17 Having questioned the suspects, the prosecutor from the Section for Combatting Trafficking in Persons and Illegal Migrations in charge of this case put forward a Motion with the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, seeking custody measures and prohibiting measures, respectively, to be ordered against the persons suspected as part of the operation codenamed ‘Pyramid’, which was carried out with foreign partner institutions to fight organized illegal migrations and migrant smuggling.

The measure of custody was proposed against the following suspects:

1.    Selim Delić aka ’Selko’, born in 1997 in Bihać, residing in Cazin, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina
2.    Amel Mušinbegović aka ‘Ćelo’, born in 1981 in Visoko, where he resides, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina
3.    Dženeta Hadžiosmanović, born in 1999 in Sarajevo, residing in Visoko, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina

INDICTMENT ISSUED FOR CRIMINAL OFFENCE OF PROVOKING ETHNIC, RACIAL AND RELIGIOUS HATRED, CONFLICTS AND INTOLERANCE

29.04.2024. 12:39 The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina issued an indictment against the following person:

- Vojin Pavlović, born in 1976 in Bratunac, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina, against whom another criminal proceedings are being conducted before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

CUSTODY MOTION FOR TURKISH CITIZEN SUSPECTED OF MIGRANT SMUGGLING

26.04.2024. 13:24 Acting within the on-call duty, a Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina filed a motion to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina to order custody for the suspect:

CHIEF PROSECUTOR MEETS WITH AMBASSADOR OF KINGDOM OF SPAIN

26.04.2024. 13:13 The Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of  BiH, Milanko Kajganić, met with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain in BiH, H.E. María Teresa Lizaranza Perinat, as well as with the team leader of the EU4JUSTICE project and other experts engaged in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

25.04.2024. 15:12 Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH issued an indictment against: 

BIH PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE APPEALS DECISION NOT TO ORDER CUSTODY AND PROHIBITING MEASURES IN ‘BLACK TIE 2’ CASE

25.04.2024. 13:10 Having received the Court’s decision, the prosecutor in charge of this case will file an appeal against the decision pursuant to which custody or prohibiting measures were not ordered in relation to some of the suspects in the case.

MORTAL REMAINS OF ONE PERSON FOUND IN VIŠEGRAD AREA

24.04.2024. 15:51 A legal officer from the Special Department for War Crimes of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina is present at the site in Povjestača, in Višegrad municipality, where he coordinates the activities of officers participating in the exhumation process, in accordance with an agreement reached with the prosecutor in charge of the case.  

INTERNATIONAL ACTION ‘PYRAMID’ UNDERWAY IN BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA TO COMBAT ORGANIZED SMUGGLING OF MORE THAN 600 ILLEGAL MIGRANTS

24.04.2024. 12:57 A prosecutor from the Human Smuggling and Human Trafficking Section of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina is conducting activities with police officers of the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the field, as part of an operation aimed at fighting international organized illegal migrations.
