CHIEF PROSECUTOR MEETS WITH U.S. INL/EA DIRECTOR

A meeting was held in the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina between Chief Prosecutor Milanko Kajganić and officials of the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) of the U.S. Department of State, headed by Marko Tervakoski, Director of INL/EA.

During the meeting, Chief Prosecutor Kajganić spoke about the activities and work of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and partner police institutions and agencies in the fight against international drug trafficking, organised crime, illicit financial flows, cybercrime and other crimes.

 

Chief Prosecutor Kajganić informed the INL officials about the work and results of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH in these areas, including cases related to evidence obtained through encrypted applications such as Sky and Anom. These cases mostly relate to organised crime, international drug trafficking and money laundering, including illegal shipments originating from South America and Western Europe.

 

The INL officials expressed their appreciation for the efforts of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH to strengthen the focus on the fight against transnational organised crime. Chief Prosecutor Kajganić once again stressed out the importance of the INL support, as well as the cooperation between the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, the INL and other partner institutions.
