CHIEF PROSECUTORS OF BIH AND CROATIA MEET

15.12.2025. 14:53
A working meeting was held at the State Attorney’s Office of the Republic of Croatia (DORH) in Zagreb between the Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, Milanko Kajganić, and the State Attorney General of the Republic of Croatia, Ivan Turudić.
  • CHIEF PROSECUTORS OF BIH AND CROATIA MEET

  • CHIEF PROSECUTORS OF BIH AND CROATIA MEET

The meeting parties discussed cooperation between the prosecutor’s offices of the two countries in cases of organized crime, high-level corruption, and the fight against impunity for war crimes.

Given that in a large number of cases of organized international crime, citizens of BiH and Croatia appear as suspected perpetrators or the place of commission of criminal offenses is on the territory of both countries, rapid and efficient international cooperation is necessary. According to operational data, a certain number of suspects in cases of organized crime, high-level corruption, as well as cases of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH with evidence from encrypted applications Sky and Anom, have resided or are still residing in the territory of the Republic of Croatia. Some have already been extradited or are in the process of extradition. Also, some of the suspects in State Attorney’s Office cases are on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The cooperation is also very important in war crimes cases, in which a large number of suspects or accused persons are hiding from prosecution in neighboring country, and in the coming period, possibilities and options for their prosecution aiming to prevent impunity for war crimes will be considered, which is also supported by the Prosecutor’s Office at the IRMCT in The Hague.
