14.11.2025. 13:56
A group of around 40 students of the Sarajevo Faculty of Law visited the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH. The main topics of the visit were related to the cooperation of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH with the partner institutions of the European Union, primarily with the EU Agency for Criminal Justice Cooperation (EUROJUST) and the European Public Prosecutor’s Office (EPPO).
Those who talked with the students were the prosecutor who is the contact point for liaison with Eurojust, Sanja Ljuboje Romić, a legal officer from the Department for Mutual Legal Assistance and Other Criminal Offences, and representatives of the Investigations and Witness Support Department and the Public Relations Department of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.
Given that the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH participated in 18 operations within EUROJUST in the past period, as well as several Joint Investigation Teams (JITs), which were established with partner prosecutor’s offices from EU countries, it was explained to the students how the Prosecutor’s Office and partner police agencies from BiH participate in these activities. Moreover, in the past period, the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH provided help and assistance to the European Public Prosecutor’s Office (EPPO) on three occasions, carrying out activities in the territory of BiH, which were needed by colleagues from the EU.
During the visit, the students also had the opportunity to ask questions that interested them from the scope of work of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
