MEETING OF THE CHIEF PROSECUTOR AND THE HEAD OF THE EUROPEAN UNION DELEGATION HELD
19.06.2025. 15:08A meeting of the Chief Prosecutor Milanko Kajganić and the Head of EU Delegation to Bosnia and Herzegovina H.E. Luigi Soreca was held in Sarajevo. The parties discussed the fight against all types of organized crime. It was emphasized that the results of the Prosecutor”s Office of BiH are one of decisive factors in the progress of Bosnia and Herzegovina on EU accession. The progress that has been made is recognized, but there is a need for sustainable results, which include final judgements especially in high-level corruption cases.
Fight against genocide denial and glorifications of war crimes also needs to be reinforced, with judiciary which is with more efficient on this matter.
Also, full implementation of the agreement with EUROJUST will enable key cooperation and Bosnia and Herzegovina needs to finalize the ratification process and other remaining steps as soon as possible.
It was concluded that the EU Delegation will continue to support efforts to strengthen the rule of law through reforms which will improve judiciary, integrity and trust in institutions.
