Acting within the deadline of 24-hours, the prosecutor on call of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH coordinated with the Border Police of BiH the activities related to the deprivation of liberty of a citizen of the Republic of Serbia suspected of committing the criminal offense of smuggling of goods under Article 214 of the Criminal Code of BiH.
  • CUSTODY MOTION FOR SMUGGLING OF GOODS SUSPECT

The activities of the Border Police were carried out in the locality of Amajlija, municipality of Bijeljina, where a vehicle with a trailer was observed during the terrain observation. The vehicle illegally crossed from the territory of Republic of Serbia to the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The persons who were driving the vehicle tried to escape the police patrol, but they were stopped and detained by the police.

During the inspection, a large number of cattle was discovered that were illegally smuggled into the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina without the necessary procedures, veterinary certificates and documentation. After questioning the suspect, the assigned prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina will submit a motion to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina to order remand in custody of the suspect Miroslav Pavlović, born in 1997 in Belgrade, a citizen of the Republic of Serbia, because he is a foreign citizen who, by leaving Bosnia and Herzegovina, may become unavailable to the judiciary, while in relation to the suspect Stanko Dikić, born in 1978 in Bijeljina,a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the investigation continues.
