BY ORDER OF THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BIH AN EXHUMATION COMPLETED IN THE AREA OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF BOSANSKI NOVI / NOVI GRAD
17.10.2022. 08:38 At the site of the local cemetery in the municipality of Bosanski novi/Novi Grad, the remains of two persons, who are assumed to be victims of the last war, were exhumed. The remains were sent to the City Cemetery public communal joint-stock company Banja Luka for forensic medical processing and identification based on DNA analysis.
An investigator of the Special Department for War Crimes coordinated the work of authorized officials in the search for the remains of victims from the past war pursuant to the orders of the assigned prosecutor.
The following parties participated in the process of search for and exhumation of the remains: a forensic medicine doctor-pathologist, representatives of the Institute for Forensic Medicine of the RS, necessary workers with the use of adequate machinery, as well as police officers from the Novi Grad police station, who secured the location.
