Chief Prosecutor Gordana Tadić, together with the Head of the Special Department for War Crimes Milanko Kajganić and the Heads of Sections Ibro Bulić and Sanja Jukić, held a collegium of all prosecutors of the Special Department for War Crimes.

Collegium participants discussed the implementation of obligations and activities in accordance with the Revised National War Crimes Strategy, and concluded that all activities and obligations of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH required by the Revised Strategy, as well as activities related to persons with standard marking "A" were fulfilled.

It was pointed out that, despite the objective difficulties and limitations due to the Covid 19 pandemic, the results achieved in terms of number of the accused is almost as it were in 2019, and the prosecutorial quota achieved in the Special Department for War Crimes was 95.68%.

Collegium participants analyzed the results of the previous year, and pointed out that due to the non-scheduling of hearings by the Court of BiH last year there was an obvious delay in the trial of the most complex cases with a large number of accused, which creates a negative perception especially in the population of victims and injured.

At the collegium the prosecutors stated that they were actively working on the implementation and fulfillment of the recommendations from the Follow up Report of Judge Joanna Korner, of which the HJPC BiH will be informed in detail.

The work plan and activities for 2021 were discussed, where priority will be given to the most complex cases as well as cases in which persons with the standard marking "A" are registered, with the aim of achieving the best possible results.

The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, despite the objective difficulties caused by the pandemic, continues to work intensively on war crimes cases, as well as in the process of exhumations and search for missing persons, and cooperation with representatives of victims and injured parties from all parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina
