On 5 November 2008, upon the order by the prosecutor of the Special Department for War Crimes of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, officers of the State Protection and Investigation Agency (SIPA) apprehended Momir Pelemiš, born on 26 September 1949, former deputy commander of the 1st Battalion of the Zvornik brigade and Slavko Perić, born on 24 April 1967, former assistant commander for security of the 1st Battalion of the Zvornik brigade, both from Zvornik.

Upon the Order by the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, the suspects will be brought to the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH due to grounded suspicion that they committed the criminal offence of Genocide in violation of Article 171 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina by participating in apprehension and execution of 1700 Bosniak men from the Srebrenica enclave in Pilica and at the military farm Branjevo in July of 1995.
