THE MINISTRY OF SECURITY DONATED 9 VEHICLES TO THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BIH

31.01.2014. 15:30
Mr. Goran Salihović, Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, met with Mr. Fahrudin Radončić, BiH Minister of Security, on the occasion of the handover of nine (9) vehicles donated to the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH by the Ministry of Security of BiH.

The meeting was also attended by Mr. Milorad Novković, President of the HJPC, Mr. Admir Suljagić, Director of the HJPC Secretariat, and Mr. Bakir Dautbašić, Secretary to the Ministry of Security.

The Prosecutor’s Office of BiH necessitates these vehicles due to the increase of its field activities, especially the activities pertaining to the coordination of the process of exhumations conducted in inaccessible terrains throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina, but they are also required in the work of Investigators and legal staff since they often have to go to the field to conduct investigative activities, namely, to interview witnesses, collect evidence or conduct other activities.

These vehicles are used vehicles, but they are in a very good condition; therefore, such a donation will significantly save money allocated for travel expenses.

The Chief Prosecutor thanked Minister Radončić for this donation which will support the work of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH and help the strengthening of its capacities.

For more than ten years now, the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH and the Ministry of Security of BiH have been maintaining significant cooperation with regard to establishing the rule of law, combating different forms of crime and creating a safer environment for all the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
