EXHUMATION OF VICTIMS KILLED DURING THE PAST WAR CARRIED OUT IN MOSTAR MUNICIPALITY

Following the recovery, the remains shall be transported to Town Cemetery Sutina in Mostar for forensic processing i.e. determination of the cause of death and collection of DNA samples in order to determine the identity of the victims.
The exhumation process was supervised by a Legal Officer of the Special Department for War Crimes within the Prosecutor's Office of BiH and attended by representatives of the BiH Institute for Missing Persons, a forensic pathologist and Police Officers of HNC MoI.
The Prosecutor's Office of BiH, along with other law enforcement agencies and institutions involved in the process of tracing and identifying the missing in BiH, continues its activities in the process of tracing and exhuming the remains of war crimes victims in all parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
