Representatives of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH: prosecutors and legal officers participated in an expert workshop, which was organized by the Association of Prosecutors of Bosnia and Herzegovina within the HJPC's project and held in Sarajevo.

The prosecutors, media and non-governmental organizations attending this workshop discussed the modalities to enhance mutual cooperation in detection and prosecution of illegal activities in the community, to punish perpetrators and to eliminate harmful effects of the crimes.

The central theme of the workshop was related to the activities required for detection and prosecution of criminal cases involving drug-dealing groups in the community, corruption and illegal employment, abuse and harassment at work (mobbing), and corruption in health care facilities.

The workshop was attended by approximately 40 participants, including representatives from the prosecutor's offices of all levels in BiH, representatives of the media, including the Public Broadcasting Service and other TV and radio stations as well as representatives of Non-Governmental Organizations operating in BiH.

Following the working group sessions, the groups presented conclusions defining the activities to be undertaken in order to detect and criminally prosecute any of the above-mentioned issues more effectively, as well as to punish the perpetrators and eliminate the consequences.

The Association of BiH Prosecutors organized the workshop within the framework of the project implemented by the HJPC with the support of the Government of the Swiss Confederation.
