INDICTMENT ISSUED AGAINST FAIM MIRVIĆ (1975) AND AIDA MIRVIĆ (1970)26.06.2012. 12:37
- Faim Mirvić, born on June 2, 1975 in Sarajevo, where he resides, citizen of BiH; and
- Aida Mirvić, born on December 1, 1970 in Modriča, residing in Sarajevo, BiH citizen.
The indictment charges Faim MIRVIĆ to have kept pirated copies of image and sound carriers in the family house and the shop in Sarajevo, in the aim of putting them into circulation without the consent of the author or other copyright holder, which is contrary to the applicable legal provisions on copyright and related rights in BiH.
The indictment charges Aida MIRVIĆ to have kept pirated copies of image and sound carriers in her trade shop in Sarajevo, in the aim of putting them into circulation without the consent of the author or other copyright holder, which is contrary to the applicable legal provisions on copyright and related rights in BiH..
As alleged in the indictment, 12 861 pirated copies of image and sound carriers were found while searching the family house and business premises of MIRVIĆ Faim on April 23, 2009. The search of the independent trade shop of MIRVIĆ Aida conducted on April 24, 2009 resulted with the discovery of some 1800 pirated copies of image and sound carriers.
All of the aforementioned items were seized by the authorized officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency - SIPA, Sarajevo Regional Office.
The accused persons : Faim MIRVIĆ and Aida MIRVIĆ are charged to have put into circulation copyrights copied without the permission of the author, other copyright holder or a person authorized to give permission, and as permission is required under the law of Bosnia and Herzegovina, by doing so they committed the criminal offense of Impermissible Use of Copyrights under Article 243, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of BiH.
The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
