INDICTMENT ISSUED AGAINST THREE PERSONS

Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption within the Prosecutor's Office of BiH issued an indictment against three persons who are charged to have jointly committed the criminal offense of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs under Article 195, Paragraph 2 in conjunction with Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, while the third accused is charged to have committed the criminal offense of Illicit Possession of Weapons or Explosive Substances under Article 371 Paragraph 2 in conjunction with Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of the Federation BiH.

The indictment was issued against the following persons:

-       Hakija MEHOVIĆ, born on April 25, 1961 in Bor-Ivangrad, residing in Sarajevo, BiH citizen,

-       Halil KULOVAC, born on December 23, 1976 in Rogatica, where he resides, a citizen of BiH, and

-       Muhidin KULOVAC AKA "Tale", born on September 9, 1981 in Rogatica, where he resides, with prior convictions, citizen of BiH.

The accused Hakija MEHOVIĆ is charged to have, in April 2011,organized a group of people in the aim of to obtaining illegal profit, while the other two accused persons Muhidin KULOVAC and Halil KULOVAC are charged to have, joined this group for the purpose of performing illicit international purchase, transfer and sale of narcotic drug Marijuana "Skunk" from Kosovo to Bosnia and Herzegovina, a substance which was declared a narcotic drug by the Convention on Psychotropic Substances of 1971 and the Decision on the list of narcotic drugs ("Official Gazette of R BiH" no. 2/92 and 13/94) whose traffic is prohibited pursuant to the provisions of the Law on Production and Distribution of Narcotic Drugs ("Official Gazette of R BiH" no. 2/92 and 13/94) and of the Law on Prevention and Suppression of Drug Abuse ("Official Gazette of BiH" no.8/06).

The accused are alleged to have, during this period, engaged in international smuggling of large quantities of narcotic drug Marijuana "Skunk" and were afterwards caught and detained in a police operation of the State Investigation and Protection Agency - SIPA.

The second count of the indictment, charges the accused Hakija Mehović to have, without previously obtaining a permit, purchased and held a larger amount of firearms and ammunition, whose possession is not allowed for the citizens.

The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
