EXHUMATION CARRIED OUT IN THE AREA OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF FOČA
At the Grebak Plateau site, in the municipality of Foča, an exhumation was carried out, during which partial mortal remains of one person were found and sent to the Autopsy and Identification Center in Goražde, for further processing and determination of the identity of the missing person through DNA analysis. The exhumation process was supervised, under instructions of the Prosecutor from the Special Department for War Crimes, by an investigator from the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, and attended by a forensic expert, representatives of the Institute for Missing Persons (IMO) of BiH and the International Commission on Missing Persons in BiH, as well as police officers from the Bosnian Podrinje Canton - Goražde who secured the location.
DETENTION PROPOSED FOR ROMANIAN AND HUNGARIAN CITIZENS SUSPECTED OF ILLEGAL DRUG TRAFFICKING
The Prosecutor’s Office of BiH submitted a motion to the Court of BiH to impose custody for the suspects: Salagean Mihai Cristian*, born in 1988, a citizen of Romania, and Szilagyi Emese*, born in 1997, a citizen of Hungary. The suspects were detained while crossing the state border from the Republic of Croatia, when during a vehicle inspection, police officers found approximately four kilograms of a substance resembling the narcotic drug heroin and approximately 30 grams of a substance resembling the narcotic drug cocaine. The activities were carried out in cooperation with several police agencies in BiH, and cooperation was also established with partner institutions in the region and the EU.
Motion for custody was proposed for the reasons described in Article 132, Paragraph 1, item a) of the BiH Criminal Procedure Code, namely due to the risk posed by the suspects who are foreign citizens. The above-mentioned suspects are under investigation for the criminal offense of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs under Article 195, Paragraph 1, in conjunction with Article 29 of the Criminal Code of BiH.
