AFTER GUILTY PLEA AGREEMENT, THE ACCUSED OF UNAUTHORISED INTERNATIONAL TRAFFICKING IN NARCOTIC DRUGS SENTENCED TO TWO YEARS IN PRISON

The accused Sava Papić (1976), citizen of the Republic of Montenegro, who is in custody, pleaded guilty by agreement, after which he was sentenced to two years in prison by the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

 

 

AFTER GUILTY PLEA AGREEMENT, THE ACCUSED OF UNAUTHORISED INTERNATIONAL TRAFFICKING IN NARCOTIC DRUGS SENTENCED TO TWO YEARS IN PRISON

He was found guilty of the criminal offence of illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs set out in Article 195 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as charged by the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

 

The accused pleaded guilty to the fact that, in mid-July last year, he as a member of an organised group, carried out an unauthorised international transfer of the narcotic drug “marijuana-skank” in the amount of 35,532 kilograms from the territory of the Republic of Montenegro to the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

 

As part of the agreement in question, security measures were imposed, namely the seizure of the following items: passenger motor vehicle Renault Laguna that was used in the commission of the criminal offence, and the mobile phone with the corresponding SIM cards.

 

In addition, the narcotic drug “marijuana-skank” used in the commission of the criminal offence will be seized from the accused and destroyed in a legal procedure.

 

The proposed sentence is adequate to the role and responsibility of the accused in the execution of this criminal offence.

 

By signing the agreement, the accused waives his right to a trial and may not file an appeal against the criminal sanction.

 

After considering the agreement, the Court accepted it, the accused was sentenced to the above-mentioned sentence and the case was concluded without conducting legal proceedings and a main trial.
