The suspect is under investigation as a high-ranking member of an international drug cartel, connected to the so-called "Škaljar clan", involved in smuggling and illicit trafficking of large quantities of narcotic drugs from South America to EU countries and further to the Western Balkan region.

Within the scope of the case involving decrypted Sky and Anom applications, that the BiH Prosecutor’s Office is working on in cooperation with partner institutions from the EU as well as police agencies in BiH, this suspect was identified as a member of an organized criminal group. The individual is mostly located abroad where he coordinates the work of all persons involved in the smuggling of narcotic drugs, which is why he became the focus of investigation by police agencies from several countries.

The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, together with its partner institutions, will undertake all the necessary activities in order to organize the extradition of the suspect to Bosnia and Herzegovina for further criminal prosecution as soon as possible.
