PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BIH ISSUED AN INDICTMENT FOR INTERNATIONAL SMUGGLING OF SUPPLEMENTS - DIETARY SUPPLEMENTS IN THE VALUE OF MORE THAN 20,000 BAM

 A Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption issued an indictment against:

PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BIH ISSUED AN INDICTMENT FOR INTERNATIONAL SMUGGLING OF SUPPLEMENTS - DIETARY SUPPLEMENTS IN THE VALUE OF MORE THAN 20,000 BAM
- Anel Kršo, born in 1985 in Sarajevo, with previous convictuins, citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina,

 

- Armin Srebrenica, born in 1995 in Fojnica, citizen of BiH, and

 

- Vinko Komšić, born in 1995 in Kiseljak, citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

 

They are accused of having, on 2 March 2019, carried out international trade of supplements, i.e. medical food supplements, avoiding customs control measures, from the territory of the Republic of Slovenia into Bosnia and Herzegovina.

 

The indictment lists that the aforementioned supplements were smuggled on behalf of of the first accused by Vinko Komšić and Armin Srebrenica, as bus drivers, according to a previous mutual agreement, and the supplements were seized from the trunk of the bus during an inspection at the bus station in Sarajevo by officials of the Indirect Tax Administration of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

 

The seizure determined that it was a large quantity of supplements from several manufacturers, with a total market value of 21,600 BAM.

 

The accused are charged with having committed the criminal offense of Smuggling of Goods under Article 214, paragraph 1, in conjunction with Article 30 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the accused, Armin Srebrenica and Vinko Komšić, with the criminal offense of Smuggling of Goods under Article 214, paragraph 1, in conjunction with Article 29 of the same Law.

 

The indictment was forwarded to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for confirmation.
