THE REMAINS OF A VICTIM FROM THE PAST WAR FOUND AT THE EXHUMATION AT THE LOCATION OF LJUTA - KONJIC MUNICIPALITY
20.09.2022. 15:06By order of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the exhumation process was completed at the location of Duboko Valje-Ljuta located in the municipality of Konjic, during which the remains of one person were found.
The found remains will be transferred to the City Cemetery "Miljevići" in East Sarajevo, where forensic processing will be performed, i.e. determining the cause of death and taking bone samples in order to determine the identity of the victim through DNA analysis.
Activities on the ground were supervised and coordinated by an investigator of the Special Department for War Crimes of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, and representatives of the Institute for Missing Persons of BiH, the International Commission for Missing Persons ICMP, a forensic medical expert, as well as police officers of the Konjic Police Department, who secured the location, participated in the process of exhuming the remains.
