EUROPOL SUPPORTS OPERATION OF BIH PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE AND PARTNER POLICE AGENCIES

On its official website, the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Cooperation (EUROPOL) highlighted the operation carried out in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in which a person suspected of organized crime and illegal trafficking of large quantities of narcotic drugs was located, identified and deprived of liberty.

Upon the proposal of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the suspect Mladen Samardžija (1990), one of the most wanted fugitives from the EU list, was ordered into custody.

 

The operation codenamed Tokyo was carried out by the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit of the Republika Srpska Ministry of the Interior and East Sarajevo Police Department, together with the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
