The accused Almedin Kadić (1992) has signed a Plea Agreement admitting his guilt, and the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina subsequently sentenced him to imprisonment for a term of one (1) year and imposed the security measure of confiscation of instrumentalities used for the perpetration of the criminal offence.

UPON PLEA AGREEMENT, PERSON ACCUSED OF ILLICIT TRAFFICKING IN NARCOTIC DRUGS SENTENCED TO PRISON

The accused was found guilty of the criminal offence of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs, referred to in Article 195 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in conjunction with the criminal offence of Organised Crime, referred to in Article 250 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The accused pleaded guilty of being a member of an organized crime group that operated on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina and abroad, in order to obtain unlawful material gain, and participating in the production of narcotic drugs for its further sale.

The proposed sentence is consistent with the role and responsibility of the accused in the execution of the criminal offence.

By signing the Plea Agreement, this accused person waived his right to a trial and the right to appeal the criminal sanction imposed on him by the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the basis of the said Plea Agreement.

A number of accused persons in this case have signed Plea Agreements admitting their guilt, whereas other accused persons in this case are subject to court proceedings before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
