CHIEF PROSECUTOR GORDANA TADIĆ MEETS FRENCH POLICE ATTACHÉ TO BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA

The central topics of the discussion were the cooperation between the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH and the institutions of the Republic of France in the process of strengthening the rule of law.

CHIEF PROSECUTOR GORDANA TADIĆ MEETS FRENCH POLICE ATTACHÉ TO BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA

The Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Gordana Tadić, met with the Police Attaché at the Embassy of the Republic of France to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lieutenant Colonel Philippe Gangloff, and the Judicial Liaison Officer, Ms Emmanuelle Legrand.

The meeting discussed the cooperation of partner prosecutorial and police institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of France, especially in the segment of operational cooperation between the institutions, in the process of strengthening the rule of law.

One of the topics of the meeting was cooperation and exchange of experiences and good practices of France and BiH in the fight against terrorism, activities in the process of deradicalisation, fight against human trafficking and smuggling, given that the institutions of the two countries have experience in this area.

The participants also discussed the need to continue the activities of the EU4JUSTICE project, with the support of the European Union and the GIP-Justice Coopération Internationale (JCI), which deals with the fight against organised crime and corruption in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the strengthening cooperation between the countries in the region.

Chief Prosecutor Tadić pointed out that the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH had good and open cooperation with partner institutions of France, that in the past several forms of cooperation had been implemented both in some specific cases and in general in the field of strengthening the rule of law and that the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH was open for future cooperation.
