INDICTMENT ISSUED FOR SMUGGLING OF PERSONS

The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has issued an Indictment against Boško Vidović (1966), who is charged with smuggling of persons.    

INDICTMENT ISSUED FOR SMUGGLING OF PERSONS

Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has issued an Indictment against the following person:

-      Boško Vidović, born on 20 April 1966 in Rudo, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina.   

This accused person is charged with coming in his vehicle in the vicinity of the border crossing in Uvac, on 30 May this year, after the prior telephone contacts with the smuggled persons; there, three persons from Kosovo, who had entered Bosnia and Herzegovina illegally and without the necessary documents, were waiting for him hidden in the woods. He drove those persons in the direction of Ustiprača, for which he took financial reward from the smuggled persons, and thus he acquired unlawful property gain for himself.

The aforementioned accused person is charged with the commission of the criminal offence of Smuggling of Persons, as referred to in Article 189, Paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.  

The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina is conducting several cases which relate to the smuggling of foreign citizens across the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina and towards the countries of the European Union, all in accordance with our country’s efforts to fight illegal migrations.

The Indictment has been forwarded to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
