PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA SENDS A MESSAGE TO THE BIH PUBLIC - ALL ATTEMPTS OF LOOTING, ILLEGAL ACQUISITION OF WEALTH, COMMISSION OF CRIMINAL OFFENSES OR PROFITEERING DUE TO THE SITUATION CAUSED BY FLOODS, WILL BE MOST SEVERELY SANCTION

The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, together with Prosecutor’s Offices of the respective entities and police and security agencies, is following closely the developments caused by huge floods and natural disasters in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in cases of criminal offenses related to the taking advantage of the current situation.

All perpetrators of the criminal offenses of illegal profiteering or taking advantage of the difficult situation of citizens, as well as of aggravated thefts or enormous charging for goods and services, will be prosecuted and most severely punished.

The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina urges all the citizens to report the commission of criminal offenses and make recordings to document the perpetrators, and the judicial institutions will be rigorous in prosecuting the offenders.

The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina continues to work in the interest of the rule of law and security of all the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
