THE ACCUSED JOSIP JONJIĆ (1968) CONCLUDED A PLEA AGREEMENT

The accused Josip Jonjić, born on April 28, 1968 in Zenica where he resides, citizen of BiH, charged with the criminal offense of Accepting Gifts and Other Forms of Benefits under Article 217, Paragraph 1 of the CC BiH, - entered into plea agreement with the Prosecutor of Department III within the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.

Pursuant to the agreement he Prosecutor proposed that the accused Josip JONJIĆ be rendered a conditional sentence of imprisonment in duration of one (1) year by the Court of BiH, which will not be executed providing that he does not commit another criminal offense within the period of two (2) years.

By virtue of signing this agreement the accused fully admitted committing the criminal offense he was charged with by the indictment of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH issued on June 3, 2013.

The proposed sentence is in line with the role of the accused in commission of the criminal offense in question.

Josip JONJIĆ is charged to have on a yet undetermined date - prior to March 4, 2012, while acting as an authorized officer of the BiH Border Police, made arrangements with a third party from Kosovo to enable citizens of the Republic of Serbia from the area of Kosovo, who did not own valid visas for entry to Bosnia and Herzegovina, to cross the border between R. Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina for a sum of 200,00 Euros. 

With this agreement the accused confirms that he is aware of the content of the indictment issued by the BiH Prosecutor's Office. He also confirms that the plea statement was given voluntarily, knowingly, with full understanding and undertakes to reimburse the costs of the proceedings in the amount and within the deadline determined by the Court of BiH.

Pursuant to this agreement the accused has waived his right to a trial and appeal to the criminal sanction that shall be rendered to him by the Court of BiH.

The agreement was submitted to the Court of BiH.
