EXTENSION OF CUSTODY PROPOSED AGAINST THE SUSPECTS DEPRIVED OF LIBERTY IN THE PATRIOT AND PRAVDA /JUSTICE/ ACTIONS

Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH has put forward a motion with the Court of BiH seeking extension of custody against five persons deprived of liberty on 26 April 2013, during the Patriot and Pravda /Justice/ actions, who have been in custody since 27 April 2013 pursuant to the decision of the Court of BiH, namely for the following persons:  

  1. Živko Budimir, (1962), citizen of BiH and Republic of Croatia,
  2. Petar Barišić, (1970), citizen of BiH and Republic of Croatia,
  3. Saud Kulosman (1967), citizen of BiH,
  4. Ivan Jurčević aka Ivčo (1960), citizen of BiH and Republic of Croatia, and
  5. Hidajet Halilović aka Hido (1956), citizen of BiH.

The aforementioned persons are suspected of crimes of Organized Crime, Abuse of Office or Official Authority, Illegal Interceding, Giving or Receiving Bribe, Giving Gifts and Other Forms of Benefits.

The Prosecutor has proposed extension of custody in the duration of two months, on the following grounds for custody:

In relation to Živko Budimir and Petar Barišić, grounds for custody as stipulated by Article 132, Paragraph 1, item a) of the BiH CPC.

In relation to all suspects, grounds for custody as stipulated by Article 132, Paragraph 1, items b) and d) of the BiH CPC.
