BY ORDER OF THE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE OF BIH THE OPERATION LUTKA CONTINUED. SIX SUSPECTS WERE DEPRIVED OF LIBERTY

By order of the Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime, and Corruption within the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency - SIPA, RS MoI and Sarajevo Canton MoI carried out a joint operation aimed at arrests and raids on several locations across the country, as part of  the ongoing operation codenamed "Lutka" /Doll/.

Arrests and raids were carried out in several cities, including Bijeljina, Tuzla, Sarajevo, East Sarajevo and Zvornik.

Six suspects were deprived of liberty and will be handed over to the Prosecutor's Office of BiH within the legal deadline.

These persons are suspected of criminal offenses of organized crime and aggravated robbery in connection with the robbery of about 1.8 million BAM in Han Pijesak in August 2005, as well as robbery of a money transport from Pavlović Bank and the attempted robbery of more than 2.2 million BAM of Nova Banka during it transport of cash in East Sarajevo in November 2005.

After questioning the suspects the Assigned Prosecutor will decide on a motion for custody.

The Prosecutor's Office of BiH, together with police agencies in the country, continues its activities within the operation codenamed "Lutka" with the aim of detecting and prosecuting the perpetrators of unsolved crimes i.e. murders, robberies, aggravated robberies and other serious criminal offences.
