THE SUSPECT ZORAN DRAGIČEVIĆ (1962) WAS DEPRIVED OF LIBERTY

Acting on the orders of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency - SIPA have, on December 4, 2012 at about 7 AM in Bijeljina, arrested Zoran DRAGIČEVIĆ - a former member of the Armed Forces of Republika Srpska - suspected of committing war crimes in Sarajevo during 1992 and 1993.

By order of the Prosecutor of the Regional Team 4 of the Special Department for War Crimes within the Prosecutor's Office of BiH the following suspect was deprived of liberty :

-   Zoran DRAGIČEVIĆ, born on March 29, 1962 in Sarajevo, BiH citizen.

The suspect is under investigation by the Prosecutor's Office of BiH and is suspected to have, as a member of the Armed Forces of the Republika Srpska, participated in the persecution of non-Serb civilians in Grbavica and Vraca - settlements in Novo Sarajevo municipality, during which time he committed the acts of torture, physical abuse, illegal imprisonment and rape of civilians. Zoran DRAGIČEVIĆ is suspected to have participated in war crimes as an accomplice of the accused Veselin VLAHOVIĆ Batko.

The suspect shall be handed over, within the legal deadline, to the Assigned Prosecutor who shall question him and then decide whether to file a motion for custody or not.

The suspect is under investigation for the criminal offense of Crimes against Humanity under Article 172 Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of BiH.
