Department III Prosecutor issued an indictment against Lejla BARUT - born on May 26, 1972 in Visoko, where she resides, citizen of BiH; charging her with the criminal offense of Impermissible Use of Copyrights under Article 243 Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of BiH.
The indictment charges Lejla BARUT to have, on April 26, 2012 as a user of business premises - independent trade shop in Visoko, put into circulation 323 sound and image carriers of various content and format, aware that those were the so-called illegal, pirated copies created without the permission of the author, another copyright holder or a person authorized to give permission under the law of Bosnia and Herzegovina. These image and sound carriers were sold at a price of 5 KM (BAM).
The aforementioned actions are contrary to the Law on Copyright and Related Rights ("Official Gazette of BiH" No. 63/10).
The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
