After receiving the court decision, the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH will analyse it in detail and file an appeal in the case against the suspects Fadil Novalić, Fahrudin Solak and Fikret Hodžić within the legal deadline.
After interviewing the suspects, the prosecution team of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH submitted a motion to the Court of BiH to order a 30-day custody measure.

These persons are under investigation as they are suspected, as members of an organized group, to have been part of a smuggling chain with the aim of smuggling illegal migrants from the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the territory of the Republic of Croatia and further to other EU countries, with the intention of acquiring unlawful material gain.
The operation, codenamed "Trieste", involved persons suspected of organized smuggling and transport of migrants from the territory of the Republic of Turkey through the countries of the Western Balkans to the Republic of Italy.
The seized documents that are relevant to the case will be reviewed and analysed.
The suspect is charged with smuggling a Montenegrin citizen to Bosnia and Herzegovina while restrictive measures related to crossing the state border were in place, due to the Covid 19 pandemic.
The Prosecutorial team is working constantly and continuously, conducting field activities almost on a daily basis. An order to conduct investigation has been issued and dozens of persons have been questioned so far.
The meeting was held through video-teleconferencing from several locations and cities in BiH within the project of Strengthening Prosecutorial Capacities, which is being implemented by the HJPC of BiH.
According to the collected evidence, the suspects, in agreement with persons from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, carried out organized smuggling of illegal migrants across the river border on the Drina River.
