CUSTODY MOTION FOR TWO PERSONS SUSPECTED OF ILLICIT INTERNATIONAL TRAFFICKING IN NARCOTIC DRUGS
24.11.2021. 15:32The Assigned Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, following an international operation and deprivation of liberty of persons suspected of the criminal offense of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs under Article 195 of the BiH Criminal Code, questioned the suspects and decided to submit a motion for custody for two persons.
The suspects who were deprived of liberty are under investigation and are charged with international smuggling and illicit trafficking of a large quantity of the narcotic drug marijuana "skunk" from the territory of the Republic of Montenegro to the territory of BiH, intended for further transport and resale on the illegal drug market.
Through the operational activities of the police authorities, and in coordination with the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, law enforcement agencies managed to detect and prevent the smuggling of about 200 kilograms of seized narcotics, as well as a certain amount of firearms and explosives in the territory of BiH.During the course of this operation, significant international cooperation was achieved with the judicial and police institutions of the Republic of Montenegro
