MORTAL REMAINS OF AT LEAST ONE PERSON FOUND IN KALINOVIK AREA
06.05.2021. 13:01The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina expects that the exact coordinates of the location and all the necessary data be submitted from the field in the coming period, so that a proposal could be sent to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina to issue an Exhumation Order as soon as possible.
The duty prosecutor of the Special Department for War Crimes is in contact with SIPA police officers, and the local police have been ordered to provide 24-hour protection of the location in Dobro Polje, in the municipality of Kalinovik.
As soon as all the legally prescribed procedures have been met, the process of exhumation of the mortal remains and further identification of persons to whom the mortal remains belong will commence.
According to the preliminary information, these are the remains of at least one person.
The discovery of this location is the result of the joint work of the Special Department for War Crimes and SIPA, aimed at finding information and data about the possible locations where the remains of the victims from the previous war could be found.
