INDICTMENT ISSUED FOR WAR CRIME COMMITTED IN GACKO AREA

Prosecutor of the Special Department for War Crimes has issued an Indictment against the following person:
- Goran Govedarica, born in 1957 in Gacko.
This accused person is charged with acting in violation of the provisions of the Geneva Conventions relative to the protection of civilian persons in time of war, during the war and armed conflict in Bosnia and Herzegovina, while he was a member of the reserve force of the Public Security Station in Gacko.
He is charged with physical mistreatment and abuse of one Bosniak civilian and with shooting at another Bosniak civilian from his firearms and killing him, in June of 1992, in the area of Gacko.
The aforementioned accused is charged with the commission of the criminal offence of War Crimes against Civilians.
The Indictment has been forwarded to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for confirmation.
