INDICTMENT ISSUED FOR WAR CRIME COMMITTED IN PRIJEDOR
13.11.2017. 13:55Prosecutor of the Special Department for War Crimes has issued an Indictment against the following person:
- Sretko Pavić, born on 04 April 1961 in Prijedor, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This accused person is charged with acting in contravention of the rules of the international humanitarian law and in violation of the provisions of the Geneva Conventions relative to the protection of civilian persons in time of war, while he was a member of the 6th Ljubija Battalion of the Army of Republika Srpska, during the war and the armed conflict in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He is charged with participating in the killing of five (5) civilians of Bosniak ethnicity, in July of 1992, whose bodies were found and exhumed after the war in the place of Rizvanovići.
This accused person is charged with the commission of the criminal offense of Crimes against Humanity, as referred to in Article 172 in of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Indictment has been forwarded to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for confirmation.
