INDICTMENT ISSUED AGAINST REDŽO BALIĆ (1952) FOR WAR CRIMES COMMITTED IN KONJIC MUNICIPALITY
26.03.2015. 15:15The accused is charged with having acted contrary to the provisions of the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War, during the armed conflict in Bosnia and Herzegovina between the R BiH Army and the RS Army while acting in his capacity as member of the Akrepi Sabotage-Reconnaissance Squad operating within the Headquarters of the Territorial Defense of Konjic.
He is accused of having committed murder and caused violations of physical integrity and outrages upon personal dignity of Serb civilians in June 1992 in Konjic municipality.
The accused is charged with having, along with several other soldiers, arrived to the facility in Glavatičevo where five civilians, including a child, were detained.
Having arrived, the accused fired several shots from a firearm killing a Serb man in front of the house. He then returned to the aforementioned facility where he psychologically abused and mistreated a detained woman and subsequently inflicted physical injuries upon her.
The accused is charged with the criminal offense of War Crimes against Civilians under Article 173, Paragraph 1, Subparagraph c) in conjunction with Article 180, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
