Prosecutor of the Department II of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has issued an Indictment against the following person: -           Valentina Stanišić, born on 15 July 1976 in Sarajevo, a resident of Pale, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
  • INDICTMENT ISSUED AGAINST AN OFFICER OF THE BIH DIRECTORATE FOR COORDINATION OF POLICE BODIES, FOR THE CRIMINAL OFFENSE OF LACK OF COMMITMENT IN OFFICE

The accused is charged with acting in violation of the law and established procedures and internal acts, as an employee of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies (DCPB) of Bosnia and Herzegovina occupying the position of a Stationery Clerk, whereby the budget of Bosnia and Herzegovina was damaged in the amount of BAM 30,000.

She is charged with signing invoices for the purchase of office stationery, in her capacity of a Stationery Clerk, and with signing that, in 2011, office stationery, i.e. paper, was delivered as per two invoices in the total amount of BAM 30,178.50, although she knew that the paper in question was not delivered; thereby, she damaged the budget of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies (DCPB) of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the aforementioned amount, thus damaging the budget of Bosnia and Herzegovina as well.

In the course of investigation in this case, significant cooperation was established between the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies (DCPB) of Bosnia and Herzegovina, whose officers had discovered and reported this criminal offense.

This accused person is charged, as an official and responsible person in the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina being aware of what she is doing, with failing to exercise due supervision and manifestly acting in a clearly unconscientious manner in the discharge of her official duties, which resulted in property damage, whereby she committed the criminal offense of Lack of Commitment in Office, as referred to in Article 224, Paragraph 2 in conjunction with Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Indictment has been forwarded to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for confirmation.
